  • General discussion

Open Issues to be followed up later

  1. Discussions with M. Pitt & J. Musson to understand the beam monitor signals we'll be getting
  2. Draft timing diagram: DocDB 790
  3. Michael, Bob, Brynne, and Paul should put together a list of the integrator running modes we would like to have available

  • Bryerton has made the ADC software available to Bob, me, and Bryan; the Verilog code is on a private GitLab repo and the python code is on an open repo. He asks if anyone else should have access: Brynne and Dustin would like access.
  • Michael has also circulated a short summary of the ADC readout plans to a small group to finalize what we want to be asking Bryerton to implement. We'll have a independent small group discussion before we discuss the plan in this group. Dustin asks to join.
    • Discussion of the timing
    • Bryan also points out that it he'd like to be involved in the discussions of timing and understanding diagrams of when the various signals are related to each other
  • Discussion of the second round of the prototype ADCs
    • Manitoba is collecting all the components, and is waiting for a few, and then will send all the components to the vendor
    • Michael has gotten back a few requests for ADCs; the plan is that the company will first make two ADCs and send them to TRIUMF and Manitoba for QA checking, then the rest of the second round modules would be built.
  • Jie has received the new base assemblies. They need to attach a few components and then would begin testing
    • Dustin asks what the counting mode base gain is on the new module; by default it is x10, but can go to x5, x2, or x1 by changing some resistors.
    • Michael and Jie will be starting to place orders for the production order of the bases
  • Sayak reports that the GEM DAQ is running at UMass (reading the MPD through the backplane). We need to have a follow-up discussion about the UMass counting DAQ test stand for detector testing.
