Agenda
- Activity updates
- General discussion
Minutes
Recording on Zoom: [1]
Participants: R. Michaels, D. Armstrong, B. Moffit, P. King, J. Fast
- Update on HDMI cable test results (Armstrong)
- Evaristo had not been able to find the data from the 2015 tests of HDMI cables, but will look further when he returns home
- Evaristo and Roberto will be at JLab in 2nd half of September; they will
- David will check with Evaristo about what they know about the radiation hardness of the MPDs. He mentions that SBS hasn't had radiation issues for the MPDs, but this isn't a quantitative statement.
- Recall from Zuhal's study that the MPD location is projected to get several kRad over the course of the experiment, so it's really a question if the MPDs are rad-sensitive as compared to commercial electronics
- Kate is continuing to push to get the simulation of the Xray/soft photon environment at the GEMs, but this has been very computationally intensive
- David confirmed that they're using the same libraries as were used for the SBS simulations, and that the SBS simulation backgrounds were within a factor of about 2 or 3 from what was seen during their run
- Discussion of the TDR
