Minutes
Recording on Zoom: [1]
Participants: B. Moffitt, P. King, D. Armstrong, R. Michaels, C. Ghosh, D. McNulty
- Discussion of meeting time for the fall: it seems that the Friday noon timeslot still works for both the integrating and counting DAQ meetings.
- Activity updates
- Follow up about the GEM HDMI cable length tests
- David reports that there hasn't been any meaningful progress on our own tests, but he is reaching out to Evaristo to see if he can get more information or the data from the tests the Italians had done previously
- Bob
- He's starting to work with the V2495, and will soon be getting a receiver box from John Musson for the beam monitor readout development
- He's had some help from Bryan to try to get the VTP to boot up correctly, but there are still issues.
- He's also starting to get the Vivaldo software set up to do the firmware development.
- Chandan: UMass is building two large scintillator paddles for their cosmic trigger test stand
- David: the optics group has been discussing what they might use for the offline software
- They are considering starting with the code Chandan had used for the PREX/CREX tracking analysis
- We discuss trying to draw in some of the SBS experts as well. David would like to do this; they are just very busy with the analysis from last year and setting up for the new experiment. David also expects that the rates and challenges for SBS are much more stringent than what we're likely to encounter. He does intend to continue to reach out to them though.
