Agenda

  1. Discuss possible issues with simulation generators
  2. Options for adding a new hole to the sieve for magnetic field (Kate) [1]

Attendance

Bill, Paul S, Kate, David, Sayak, Cirprian, Andrew, Zuhal, Vassu

Minutes

  1. (Kate) Added symmetry holes in two sectors. Smallest holes separation is 4.5 mm; MIT engineering says anything over 3 mm would be fine. Looks like adequte Moller/elastic 12C separation for all beam energies. Will look at sensitivity to non-ideal B fields for this new sieve.
  2. (Ciprian) suggests we present new sieve design to simulations group.
  3. (Bill) working on Livermore Libraries. Need to put in step limiter for parallel worlds; does not simulate dE/dx in coils unless there is no B-field. Results from simple stand-alone remoll with water target (20cm x 20 cm x10 cm)with 100 MeV incident e- (world geometry is air). This may be too thick to allow ultra-low-energy gammas to escape from the target. May try to replicate the SBS simulation conditions.
