Minutes
Recording at zoomgov:
Participants: W. Gu, P. King, B. Moffit, R. Micheals, B. Blaikie, D. Armstrong, A. Sen, S. Malace, Z. Li, S. Chatterjee, D. McNulty, J. Pan, M. Gericke, H. Liu, C. Cuevas, C. Ghosh, R. Conaway, P. Souder, S. Regmi
- Bryan had not been able to make progress since the last meeting
- Bryan says that he has not gotten ADC data coming from a trigger by the TI, and has been trying to debug it
- Michael says that there is a problem with the readout and he has been in communication with Bryerton about it. There is a problem with the clocks in the firmware on the readout side
- Michael does have a new firmware from Bryerton, but he hasn't had a chance to test it yet. Bryerton also has time over the weekend to work on it.
- If Michael's test goes well, he will send the firmware version to Bryan, and would send a v2 board to JLab
- William points out that next week is the last week JLab is open; so probably the revised firmware and a v2 ADC board will get sent to JLab after the holiday.
- Michael thinks that Bryerton would be able to make fixed firmwares for both the v1 and v2 ADC boards; he has one of each for testing
- Michael is also waiting on the remainder of the ADC production to make sure this firmware issue is resolved (i.e. that there is no hardware problem)
- Chris reports that the integrating ADC chassis parts have all arrived at JLab, and as soon as we have a v2 board at JLab we can check the fit.
- Chris reports that all of the FADCv3 boards (including ours) have arrived at JLab
- The front panels were delayed, but should be coming in soon.
- The boards are going through testing now, in a full crate test. All would be finished probably by the end of February
- Chris says that the FADCv3 HallB+HallD firmware work will be lower priority than supporting the hall installations. Chris thinks that the firmware will be later than the end of February.
- Discussion of the project goal of showing "the DAQ is ready" at the beginning of March
- We would want to have several iADCs connected and being read out
- The counting DAQ would be tested using the ESB test stand
- Status of the W&M DAQ
- Sayak had seen another crash yesterday, but it has been running pretty smoothly
- Arindam is working on the VTP firmware for the W&M trigger. We may need to do some hardware checks on the VTP at W&M next week.
- Simona says that the ESB DAQ has one crate set up with the FADC and the VTP. The second crate needs a VTP, SD, and TI. Chris says that he can get a VTP and SD to Simona, and William thinks a TI is also available.
- Test lab DAQ
- Simona says the FADC that had been in the test lab DAQ is not working; she has dropped it off with Bill Gunning
- The pion detector test stand is largely ready to go; Simona has not set up CODA yet on that system; that should happen in the near future. Arindam will be installing the MOLLER counting analyzer on the test lab server soon
- The next DAQ meeting will be 10 January at 1pm. This would probably also be a combined integrating and counting DAQ meeting. The meeting time will likely change after the 10th.
