Minutes
Recording at zoomgov:
Participants: R. Michaels, B. Waidyawansa, B. Moffit, B. Blaikie, S. Malace, P. Souder, R. Conaway, S. Chatterjee, Z. Ji, M. Gericke, S. Regmi, W. Gu, J. Pan, H. Liu, D. McNulty, D. Armstrong, R. Fair, D. Bishop
- Michael doesn't have an update on the ADC production.
- Michael asks what the last firmware update that Bryan and William had gotten form Bryerton: Bryan thinks is was in June.
- Bryerton had sent an updated version to Michael in September as a tarball (dated in August) that was specific to the rev.2 board
- Michael will send the tarball to Bryan. Bryan will check the commit logs also
- Michael asks what the last firmware update that Bryan and William had gotten form Bryerton: Bryan thinks is was in June.
- Bryan had to revert to petalinux for a while, but now has switched back to CentOS and is cleaning up the CentOS environment
- He is also trying to make it packaged more cleanly to make it wasier to do the updates.
- Bryan is also debugging the trigger and readout acknowledge responses from the ADC TI that are not getting decoded
- Dustin asks what is the plan for the integration DAQ at W&M
- Brynne says the plan would be using the current streaming mode to do quick testing of the detectors
- We also want the full
- Bryerton has been in contact with Michael, and Michael has plans to work with him on some small fixes
- Michael says that Bryerton had implemented the summing routines (for rev 2), but had some questions about the timing of the TI signal.
- The rev1 integration code is turned off but could be enabled
- Bryerton will be available in a week, and Michael will talk with him about enabling the summing code for the rev1 boards
- Michael also says that the fiber Ethernet port should be available in the newest firmware
- Discussion of the fiber networking
- The ADC will have a QSFP to SFP+ LC-type connector, and we'd just need a SFP+ network switch.
- The fiber internet is still a 1Gbps link. It could be changed but we'd need the 10Gig firmware module, and someone to include that in our firmware
- Discussion of the floating grounds on the ADC
- The ADC ground is referenced to the input ground
- The copper Ethernet connection are also isolated, although the fiber connections would be more isolated
- Brynne asks if there is a chassis available to be used at the W&M set-up
- Michael has one that he will send down
- Paul will follow up by email with Brynne and Sayak early next week about the configuration of the server and how to add the integrating ADC to the DHCP list
