Minutes

Recording at zoomgov: [1]

Participants: R. Michaels, P. King, W. Gu, B. Blaikie, C. Zorn, M. Gericke, D. Bishop, B. Shaw

  • Paul: Brief presentation of the 18 March Beam Monitor meeting discussion
    • Daryl asks about the settling time of the DACs; Paul does not know.
    • Daryl guesses that the actual output bandwidth might be 10 times lower than the 1Msps
  • Bryerton
    • The clock cleaner is now locking to the intputs
    • All ADCs are giving the test pattern, but the upper 8 have an unexpected delay
      • They'll get the second ADC board running to see if it shows the same behavior
    • Two channels can be streamed out
    • The output is maxing out at ~300Mbps; he's investigating
    • The streaming readout should be ready in about a week
  • Michael has put up a Google doc of the firmware discussion
  • Daryl reports that the XU1 which had been fried has been repaired by the manufacturer, so we have all five available again
  • Michael will send the other 3 modules to TRIUMF
  • Daryl says that the twinax connectors we had previously specified are probably the best choice; this was in reference to his concern from last meeting
  • Jie has submitted the dual-mode amplifier boards for production
  • Brynne is working on the housing for the PMT+base+amp
