  • Activity updates
    • Status of the DAQ workspace in the test lab
      • The space has been cleaned up. There is about a 15'x20' space.
      • Bob says the first things that will be set-up in the test lab will be Hanjie's polarimeter work, and Bob's digital beam monitor tests
    • Simona
      • Worked on single photoelectron test for the pion detector prototype
      • The pion detectors are not using the PMTs that we would use for the experiment. These were use in the pion detector pre-prototype tested at Mainz. They used a commercial base.
      • PMT signal is run through a long cable (roughly 75ft) to spread the pulse across several FADC samples. Want to also check it with a short cable to verify the integrals is the same.
      • Plans to switch this to use a VTP-based trigger next week
      • Running the FADC in sample mode (mode 1) and doing the integrals in analysis
      • Using a pulsed LED as the SPE source for the PMT. Ran with three different HV settings and several settings of the LED drive voltage.
