Updates on pion detector studies (Elham)
- Standalone photon simulations
  - double pion counts for 2 x 1 inch lucite planes: boundary hits are triggered twice so count double
  - scaling is cubic with thickness/PMT radius for pions
  - less than cubic for low energy electrons, since they range out in 1st inch
  - so ratio of photo-electrons from pions/electrons goes like thickness/PMT radius
- TODO: go back to 3 inch detectors
