• Updates on pion detector studies (Elham)
  • Study with horizontal lucite detector shifted inwards, and with 0.5" or 1" shielding
  • ~50% pi/e p.e. ratio with 1.5" inner shielding, 1" outer shielding, 1" lucite thickness
  • but only ~40% pi/e p.e. ratio for 2" lucite thickness, maybe showermax secondaries hitting further inner downstream shielding
  • TODO: tilt by 3.2 degrees?
  • TODO: avoid the trapezoid?
  • TODO: plot input position of pion vs how much light they generate
  • TODO: make the lead shielding touch each other?
  • TODO: optimize radial position
  • TODO: can we put three PMTs?
