(Juliette) - Have investigated possible reason that Evan's results for sieve hole images at the GEM plane from the "symmetric field map" are not on smooth curves with results from the various "radial shifts of individual coil" field maps. The culprit seems to be that the spacing in z between each of the individual magnets in the downstream toroid was increased slightly, at the request of the engineers, between when the default symmetric field map was made and the various shifted maps were made. Juliette/Buddhika have now generated a new symmetric field map with these new z-locations; we will run remoll with this new symmetric map and see if the issue is resolved.
(Juliette) - we can also generate field maps with phi offsets of coils, or pitch/yaw variations of coils. However, another thing to remember is that the present maps don't include effects from the incoming/outgoing current leads, which may be relevant. Once the coil lead geometry is settled for the upstream torus, she will make some maps including the lead affects.
