Urgent Items (Please inform Juliette or Mike about items to be added here)

• Power supplies capabilities
  • +/-20% of nominal should be possible
  • SCR - stupidly inefficient at anything but the operating current
  • don't have to re-tap to go low (down to 50%)
  • stability and losses will be increased +/- 1A
  • could, in principle, adjust the temperature to keep the the temperature the same
    • still have the control valves for the controlling the temperature
    • keep an eye on this - make sure this stays
  • make it work 24/7 as low as 10.6 GeV no problem
  • ramp rate
    • immediate - mH of inductance
    • depends on the monitoring of water temperature
  • minimum
    • 5 V may be the limiting factor in the low current
    • 300 A in US and 500 A in DS
• Mapping
  • Probir and Juliette will meet separately
  • will need a lexan box around the magnet in order to power it
  • will need passthrus for the mapping system

    • he was able to come back after 2 days
    • new guy from original, but he was good - had good relevant experience
    • shiny and unshiny spots - due to unflatness of spool - rollers
