Minutes
- (Larry) FEAs run for main structure support with 5 supports (not hexapod) grouted to floor (some vertical, some at an angle). Now also has FEA result for whole detector put together: all detectors & support structure modeled for displacement and stresses; some model input issues, but looks good. Stresses look very low.
- (Larry) Need to look at shear loads on pads on floor, so can decide how to ground/Hilti-tie to floor.
- (Larry) Next: rotation system for main detectors.
- (Jim) Has been having discussions with Robin about commercial roll-around "personnel support systems" for detector access for all detectors (ShowerMax, main detector, pion, GEMs, etc...). Expect overhead crane in Hall A will be fixed before our installation.
- (Ryan) Added a few things to pion donut support. Added pads to thicken connection points of fins to beam pipe; will use Si/bronze fasteners. Thickness of fins still at 1/2".
- (Ryan) Need to get updates from Wouter/David to dimensions of slots in pion donut. Also, we should start on the pion detector mounting concept soon.
