Minutes
- (Robin): Two options presented for running cables (integrated mode signal, counting mode signal,LV, HV) from main detectors to the electronics bunker near the upstream (beam left) side of hall. One is shorter, more direct, ~ 300 ft cable run, but runs close to beamline, in what will likely be congested areas of the hall. The other path runs from the back of the hall all the way around the perimeter, 400-500 ft run. General consensus is that the longer run around the periphery is preferred, as long as signals are not degraded by that length of run. Dustin will set up a meeting with Michael G, Jim F., Robin, Paul K., Ed F. to consider this.
- (Dustin): For the HV cables, he and Javier a few years ago had investigated a higher-density system from radiall.com that would reduce cost; should revisit this.
- (KK): Schedule for next meetings: Aug 18 - GEM Rotator focus; Aug 25 - review PDR recommendations related to detector mechanics; Sept 1 - Main Detector.
- (Ryan): requested pion donut will work with newest iteration of conical beam pipe. Starting to detail the Pb donut casing design.
- (David): will setup meeting with Larry B, Wouter D., Ryan B. to look at pion detector module design. Have concept from Wouter.
