Participants: D. Bishop, B. Blaikie, M. Gericke, W. Gu, P. King, R. Michaels, B. Moffit, J. Pan, R. Radloff
- Activity updates
- Paul is starting to place orders for the VXS crates and CPUs
- Chris Cuevas has been in communication with accelerator folks about the path and costing for the fiber between the ISB and the hall
- Daryl is working on the PCB layout for the integrator
- Michael has a PMT+preamp connected to the 2-channel prototype ADC for a full test of the integrating mode chain. Brynne will be starting to do tests with this setup
- General discussion
- Michael asks is Daryl thinks the PCB would be ready to be sent out for prototype production middle to end of summer to be available for the tests in Mainz in the fall
- Daryl has some optimizations of the way connectors are placed on the boards, and how the grounds are connected
- Daryl says he can isolate the grounds on the input signals (such as the NIM gate signal), but doing so would add some delay. He'll be following up with Jie about the specification for these inputs
- He notices that there is space the separate the analog inputs a bit, but he's not going to change them right now
- Daryl has some optimizations of the way connectors are placed on the boards, and how the grounds are connected
- Discussion about airflow for the integrator modules; where are the fans and vents in the module
- Do we want front-to-back or side-to-side airflow through the module?
- Most of the heat-generating components are probably on the right side of the module
- Paul's initial guess has been that we'd allow 1U space between the modules; we'll see if we need to have them spaced out
- Also note that for the beamline instrumentation, we'd need some form of cable adaptation to go from BNC to twinax, maybe that could be done in a panel mount which would also allow airflow space around the modules.
- Michael asks is Daryl thinks the PCB would be ready to be sent out for prototype production middle to end of summer to be available for the tests in Mainz in the fall
