Minutes

Participants: B. Moffit, B. Shaw, B. Blaikie, D. Bishop, J. Pan, M. Gericke, R. Michaels, W. Gu, P. King

  • Activity updates
    • Bryan reports that he has gotten the ZCU106 evaluation board ([1]) to boot on the JLab network, and has given it to William to work on the trigger interface firmware module
      • Bob asks how modular this will be; William thinks it ought to be fairly modular, and ought to be fairly "drop-in" to the rest of the firmware Bryerton is developing
      • William and Bryerton are staying in communication
    • Bob asks about the plans for testing the switching base, in particular to understand if the relays introduce noise. Jie has the new prototype base that has the switching functionality. She and Brynne will begin to test this base shortly
  • DAQ/trigger 60% design review will be Thursday, 18 March, from 2pm to 5pm.
    • Dry-run talk, Integrating Electronics, J. Pan
      • Suggestion to add a slide to list the TRIUMF and JLab experts (Bryerton, Daryl, Bryan, and William). Maybe put on the title slide?
      • Maybe split the slide 13, discussing the tests at Mainz, into two slides to better display the analysis plots
    • Bob mentions that my overview talk should include a schedule about when things are expected to happen
  • General discussion
    • Daryl asks about getting a TI module to be able to test the TI functionality of the integrator. Bryan suggests that a PCIexpress TI may be the easiest one to get set up (instead of a VME, which would also require a crate controller)
