- BCM/BPM readout electronics discussion --- Bob
- The existing digital readout stream is limited to to a 1kHz signal bandwidth. Could maybe get up to 20ksps (so a bandwidth of 10 kHz)
- The digital receivers have an analog output of 100-300 kHz bandwidth. This is be our baseline plan for the beamline readout.
- There is an upgrade path for the digital readout to use an SFP from the receiver (allows Gbps data transfer) to get to the maximum bandwidth available through the receiver (up to 500 kHz?)
- The SFP connection would be available in the next generation of digital receivers; these likely won't be available before MOLLER starts
- John M. will check with Chad and Nate to see if one of the current generation of receivers could have a daughter card that could support the SFP
- If the SFP can't be added to the current generation of the receivers we would just have to rely on the analog outputs.
- Trigger conditions --- David
- David presented some updates to his triggering document
- Bryan comments that if we are using a TI-master, we can have six trigger input lines total from both VTPs. So that limits how many different types of trigger coincidences between the two VTPs we could have set up simultaneously.
- The main difficulty for forming hte coincidences would be if we had major timing differences, but we think we won't have that problem.
