  1. Overall target shielding update: Ciprian, Zuhal, Tao, Zhongling
    1. side shielding impact: Zuhal docDB689

  2. Storage requirements for simulation in ifarm
    1. Currently we have :
      1. 12 TB in /work/halla/moller12gev
      2. 20 TB quota for /volatile/halla/moller12gev
    2. What do we need? estimated using 5 kb/event/job when running high statistics shielding simulations to save 100 jobs
      1. The best scenario would be to have a 50 TB work disk and a 50 TB volatile quota.
      2. The next best: total storage of 50 TB (work+volatile)

  1. side shielding impact: Zuhal
    1. looked at three detectors around the target and SBS bunker area for three different shielding configurations. These config. were introduced last week. See Ciprian's talk last week.
  2. boundary dose impact: Ciprian
    1. front of the SBS bunker sees a relatively small increase in config2 or 3. The iron in the bunker will shield these
    2. config3 is suited well for high energy particles
    3. Working on config4 will improve based on config2 and 3
  3. Storage estimates:
    1. Simulation storage needs before the operation and after the operation
    2. Contact Paul about storage and computing needs for DAQ, raw data, and data analysis
