Agenda

  • Activity updates
  • General discussion

Open Issues to be followed up later

  1. Discussions with M. Pitt & J. Musson to understand the beam monitor signals we'll be getting
  2. Draft timing diagram: DocDB 790
  3. Michael, Bob, Brynne, and Paul should put together a list of the integrator running modes we would like to have available

Minutes

Recording at zoomgov: [1]

Participants: B. Shaw, C. Zorn, R. Michaels, B. Moffit, B. Blaikie, M. Gericke, D. Bishop, J. Pan, W. Gu, P. King

  • Bryerton: He was working on other projects so didn't put much work in on the ADC
    • He has received the TI routines from Bryan and William, but hasn't had a chance to work on it yet.
    • Some reworking of the kernel modules and DMA code
    • He has ordered the Comblock 10Gig IP
  • Bob: There is some operations money available that he plans to use to set up the digital BCM project and the polarimeter DAQ systems
  • Michael
    • The ADC worked really well at the beamtest
    • The replacement amps for the ADC boards are likely arriving in August, so that's when the boards would become available
    • The PoE was really nice to work with, and so we might use that for the installed ADCs also; we'll need to think about how this might impact our grounding plan
    • The standard ethernet will be used for slow controls too; the main data transfer will be through the QSFP though
    • The preamplifiers had noise coming from both DC-DC converters and a potentiometer for adjusting gains/offsets
      • We'll need careful definition of power supplies, and to use fixed gain resistors to avoid both of these.
  • Brynne: Shows photos of the new PMT support system
