Minutes

Recording on Bluejeans.com: [1]

Participants: Bryan Moffit, Paul King, William Gu, Jie Pan, Chris Cuevas, Michael Gericke, Brynne Blaikie, Daryl Bishop

  • Activity updates
    • Paul asks if the TI-bridge modules use a standard TI module with special firmware. Yes, they don't need special hardware
    • Paul had asked Chris about ordering the JLab DAQ boards. Chris asks William about what modules they would have currently in their spares, and what might be able to be ordered
      • In particular, the VTP board order should be ~10 boards in order to not be unusually expensive. Would need to see what other halls need these modules
    • Chris has diagrams for the electrical distribution and ground distribution in the hall. Paul will put these up in the docDB
    • Chris is still working to get the specification for the fiber run from ISB to the hall. Once we have costs for that we'll need to figure out what account this can come from
    • Daryl is still working on the PCB layout. He'll send Michael a list of components to purchase for the prototype
    • Jie has submitted the PCB design for the next PMT base to a fabrication company for quote
    • Michael reports that Brynne will soon be able to be doing noise studies with the integration chain.
  • General discussion
    • Chris recommends that we develop a full module count by the middle of October to be able to plan JLab modules procurements over the next year.
    • TRIUMF has received the TI module. Bryan offers to coordinate with Bryerton about the Linux support for the board.
