Participants: B. Moffit, P. King, D. Armstrong, M. Gericke, R. Michaels, C. Zorn, J. Fast
- Activity updates
- Paul needs to follow up with Klaus about the recommendation of a VXS crate for them to set up a MPD/VTP daq system
- David asks about how the updated data rate estimate was done; see DocDB 1027 for the calculations
- FADC data rate is based on keeping 64-samples of waveform data on all ~300 channels (no zero suppression) and peak summary data for a few pulses on hit channels.
- I assumed we'd take counting mode data at about 1 shift per week (or a full day per three weeks)
- Michael reports that Jie has been modifying the counting mode preamp to eliminate noise sources.
- Michael has also been collecting the information about the low voltage power supplies, and is preparing a presentation to give to the electrical safety group
- Bob has sent DAQ equipment to Caryn for her test-stand
- Bob is also working with the V2495 for the digital beam readout
