1. Kicking off the Gem work planning at Stonybrook.

Meeting Disgust

1. Project background
   • Stonybrook is assigned to construct 12 out of the 28 layers of GEM trackers for the Moller experiment
   • Two prototype trackers to be constructed by late 2022. GEM material (three rectangular sheets) will arrive SBU in early March; frames will arrive later
4. Sub-tasks (required volunteers, or will be assigned):
   • Clearing out a perimeter in the basement lab, and setting up the cleanroom.
   • Setting latest JLAb DAQ system: CODA, and configure it to be used for calibrating the prototype GEM trackers
   • Setting
   • Manufacturing stage:
     • Manufacturing/stretching GEM sheet and mount to bracket (with glue) inside the clean room (Klaus and Prakhar)
   • Calibration stage:
     • Manufacturing/stretching GEM sheet and mount to bracket (with glue) inside the clean room (Klaus and Prakhar)
6. Additional equipment needed:
   • Cleanroom
   • Gas system? CO2 and Helium mixture
   • X-Ray gun mounted on arms that move in small stepped
