  • Updates on pion detector studies (Elham)
    • Moving showermax out radially in position by 1, 2 cm (configuration with aluminum plate at 56" radius and beyond) increases pi/e in both hits and pes
    • TODO: why do the uncertainties look like they don't change with number of events?
    • 48.5" hole radius has lower rates than 56" hole radius due to inner slit scattering
    • TODO: 3.2 deg tilted, moved out by 2 cm, but with 48.5" hole radius
  • Next steps, big picture
    • TODO: determine the number of generated Cerenkov photons by running with boundary hits and with optical photon sensitivity on lucite
    • TODO: determine rate at virtual plane to determine where PMTs should be placed
    • TODO: optimize optical photon collection again
