  1. Boundary dose impact of 2m diameter hole in the shielding above target chamber: Weibin docDB657
    1. Compared numbers for background per event for the old and new geometry. See the first slide for changes from old to new. Background recorded in the top detectors at the target region
    2. What's the boundary dose on old vs. new shielding? New shielding we get about 3 mrem per year - Ciprian CD-2 summary talk includes numbers from the old design.
    3. Our goal was to look into the possibility of having a 2m diameter hole. The numbers show that it looks promising to have this hole.
    4. Also there is the possibility to block part of the hole once the target is installed using a movable lid.

    1. See the first slide for geometry and detector locations.
    2. If the current neutron dose numbers going back is sufficient level for us to live with. What about left and right sides?
    3. Lead added in Rad. length? How much concrete in Rad. Did Lenght add? - Kent

  3. We are planning to available newer segmented maps soon as the developed version. Sakib will make the change after the engineering group decides this is ready.
